Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, meet your therapist.
Kenzie Langford is in-network for commercial Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas plans and sees clients anywhere in Texas by video. Before your first session, we read your benefits and tell you what your plan covers in plain language, so you know what you are walking into.
Verify my benefitsCoverage
Most commercial Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas plans include outpatient mental health. We confirm yours before you start.
Your cost
What you pay depends on your copay, coinsurance, and deductible. We read all three off your plan for you.
Getting started
Send one message. We verify your benefits and match you with Kenzie for a telehealth session.
Does Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas cover therapy?
In most cases, yes. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is the Texas Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan, a division of Health Care Service Corporation. The large majority of its commercial plans, both PPO and HMO, include outpatient behavioral health, and that is where therapy lives.
What changes from one plan to the next is the cost and the fine print: your copay, your coinsurance, whether you have met your deductible, and whether your plan needs anything on file before you begin. That is exactly what we check for you. You will not be left to decode a benefits page on your own.
One thing to flag up front. We do not bill Texas Medicaid, so the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas STAR, STAR Kids, and CHIP plans are not part of what we accept. More on that in the questions below.
Your cost lives in the details of your plan
We do not post a flat number, because there is not one. Two people with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas can pay different amounts for the same session, depending on how their plans are built. Here is what your cost actually depends on:
- Your copay, the set amount some plans charge per session
- Your coinsurance, the percentage some plans ask you to cover
- Your deductible, and whether you have met it yet this plan year
- Whether your plan is a PPO or an HMO
- Whether your plan needs anything on file before sessions begin
Please note: insurance benefit quotes are estimates from your insurance provider and are not a guarantee of coverage. Final responsibility for payment depends on how your insurance processes the actual claim for each date of service.
