Does Ambetter cover therapy in Oklahoma?

Yes. Ambetter of Oklahoma is a Health Insurance Marketplace plan, and behavioral health care is one of the essential benefits these plans are built to cover. Individual therapy with an in-network clinician is part of what your plan is meant to pay for.

What "in-network" means for you: your sessions are billed directly to Ambetter, you owe your copay or coinsurance instead of the full session fee, and there is no claim paperwork on your end. We handle the billing. You show up to therapy.

Common questions

Does Ambetter cover online therapy?

For most Ambetter Marketplace plans, yes, at the same rate as in person. We are a fully online practice across Oklahoma, so every session with us is telehealth. We confirm your specific telehealth benefit when we verify your coverage.

Do I need a referral?

Marketplace plans generally do not require a referral for outpatient therapy. We will flag it during verification if your plan is an exception.

What if my plan turns out to be out of network?

We tell you before you start and talk through your options, including out-of-network benefits and superbills if your plan has them. You will never get a surprise bill because we skipped the check.

Ambetter and Oklahoma Complete Health SoonerSelect are not the same plan

Ambetter and Oklahoma Complete Health SoonerSelect are run by the same company, but they are different plans. We accept Ambetter Marketplace plans. We do not accept Oklahoma Complete Health SoonerSelect, which is Medicaid, and we do not accept Medicaid.
