Trusted Therapy Referrals

Sometimes the best referral is one that walks out our door.

Ala means wing. Wings were never meant for staying put.

Why This Page Exists

We built Ala Therapy Collective because finding a therapist shouldn't feel like speed dating with strangers.

Over the years we've built real relationships with therapists, psychiatrists, and prescribers across Oklahoma and beyond. Sometimes that means one of our flock is exactly who you're looking for. Sometimes it means the most useful thing we can do is point you toward someone outside it.

Some clinicians have training we don't have. Some practice in states we're not licensed in. Some work with people outside our scope. Rather than pretending we're the answer for everybody, we'd rather hand you to someone who genuinely is.

If someone's on this page, we'd send our own people to them. It's a short list on purpose.

Therapy isn't about winning clients. It's about getting you the right care.

Trusted Therapy Partners

Who we call when it's someone we love.

Toyosi Oyebode, APRN, PMHNP-BC, board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Massachusetts and Florida.

Toyosi Oyebode, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner  ·  Massachusetts and Florida

Best fit if you need

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
  • Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and other psychiatric conditions
  • Pharmacogenetic testing
  • Care in English or Yoruba
  • Virtual or in person, ages 9 and up

Why we recommend Toyosi: therapy and medication are different tools and you shouldn't have to choose. If you're in Massachusetts or Florida and you need a prescriber who'll actually listen first, she's it. Her practice has more than one prescriber, so ask for Toyosi by name when you book.

  • High conflict divorce and child custody
  • Narcissistic and borderline personality dynamics
  • Depression, anxiety, anger, and impulsivity that's wrecking your relationships
  • Trauma including emotional, domestic, sexual, or religious abuse, abandonment, and emotional neglect

Why we recommend Justin: he does the work that needs clinical skill and a real stomach for conflict at the same time. When a case needs both, he's who we call.

Erica Sun, DO, double board certified psychiatrist providing telepsychiatry across Oklahoma.

Erica Sun, DO

Double board certified in psychiatry and family medicine  ·  Telepsychiatry anywhere in Oklahoma

Cash pay only. She does not bill insurance. She provides a superbill you can submit yourself for out of network reimbursement.

Best fit if you're

  • Anywhere in Oklahoma and want to see a prescriber without leaving your house
  • Managing psychiatric symptoms alongside a chronic medical condition
  • Looking for someone who treats medication as one tool and not the whole plan
  • Able to pay out of pocket and submit a superbill

Why we recommend Dr. Sun: she's boarded in psychiatry and family medicine both, which makes her one of very few prescribers in the state who can hold your psychiatric picture and your medical picture at the same time. She spent twelve years as Chief of Psychiatry at an Oklahoma Indian Health facility before opening her own practice. And she tells her own clients to go find a therapist, because the research says medication and therapy together beat either one alone. Nobody had to ask her to do that.

Our Interpreting Partner

Nobody should have to tell the hardest part of their life in a second language.

Perla J. Alarcón-Flory, Class A Certified Spanish Court Interpreter and partnered interpreter for immigration psychological evaluations.

Perla J. Alarcón-Flory

Class A Certified Spanish Court Interpreter  ·  Skilled federal interpreter  ·  Immigration evaluations

Perla works with us, not separately from us. You don't book her on your own. When a Spanish speaking client comes to us for an immigration evaluation, she's already part of the appointment.

Why this matters

  • Certified by the Supreme Courts of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, with certification in process in Missouri, Kansas, and Indiana
  • Legal, medical, and clinical interpreting, including immigration proceedings
  • Written translation of our bilingual question sets, so clients can prepare in their own language before the interview starts
  • Client answers rendered into English as literally as possible, so a declarant's own words survive into the report
  • Working under a signed confidentiality agreement, same standard we hold ourselves to

Why we work with Perla: an immigration evaluation asks somebody to describe the worst thing that ever happened to them, in detail, on the record. Doing that through whoever happened to be available that day is not good enough. A certified court interpreter already knows what "extreme hardship" means as a legal term and won't flatten clinical language into something softer than what the client actually said. We looked at ten interpreters. We picked one, on purpose, and we use her every time so our Spanish speaking clients get the same evaluation quality as everybody else. Se habla español.

Let's build something.

We sponsor events. We take referrals from attorneys and healthcare providers across six states. We say yes to a lot of things that don't have an obvious payoff, because that's how a community actually works.

If you're a clinician who wants a referral relationship that runs both directions, or you're putting together something for Oklahoma families and you need a partner who'll show up and do the work, tell us what you're building.

Causes We Support

Our values don't stop at the therapy room.

The work we do is shaped by who we serve. These organizations reflect that, and we put money behind each of them.

If your organization works at the intersection of trauma, immigration, survivor advocacy, or civil rights and you're looking for clinical partners, we'd love to connect.

Questions People Actually Ask

The parts nobody says out loud.

Why would a therapy practice send business away?

Because keeping you when someone else is the better fit isn't loyalty, it's bad care.

Do you get paid for these referrals?

No. The NASW Code of Ethics (1.16c) prohibits social workers from giving or receiving payment for a referral when we aren't providing a professional service. Nobody on this page paid to be here and nobody could.

Worth knowing, because plenty of the directories you just came from do take money for placement.

How do you decide who makes this list?

We know their work. That's the entire bar, and it's why the list is short.

Do you only recommend people in Oklahoma?

No. We're licensed in six states and we refer wherever we know someone good.

Can I get added?

Reach out. We'd want to know your work first.

I'm an attorney or a healthcare provider. Can we work together?

Yes. We complete forensic immigration psychological evaluations and take referrals from attorneys across six states. See attorney referrals.
