Social Work Careers in Oklahoma
Find Your Flock
We are not a therapy mill. We are not a corporation with a wellness budget and a ping pong table. We are a flock of licensed social workers building expansive lives for our clients and for ourselves.

Ala Therapy Collective is a group private practice made up exclusively of licensed social workers. We are LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent friendly, progressive, and deeply allergic to corporate therapy energy.
Our tagline is Therapy for an Expansive Life, and we mean it for our clients and for the people doing the work. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and we actually do something about it instead of putting it on a poster.
We are hiring. If you are a licensed social worker who is done with practices that treat clinicians like production units and clients like case numbers, we want to hear from you.

The Vibe Check
Most group practices say they care about clinicians. Here is the difference in plain terms.

Who We Are Looking For
Licensed social workers, LCSW or LMSW. Oklahoma licensure is required, and multi-state licensure is a plus. Beyond the credential, we are looking for:
- Affirming, person-centered clinicians who do not need to be told why it matters to actually see your clients
- Clinicians who bring lived experience to the work. We treat it as a strength, not something to keep quiet about
- People who are good at their job and secure enough not to make it everyone else's problem
- Clinicians who have a specialty, or are building one, and want to actually use it
- The ability to work independently without someone holding your hand through every decision
Specialties We Are Expanding
We are especially interested in social workers with experience or interest in these areas, and we put real weight on lived experience. If you bring something else to the table that you think we need, make that case.
EMDR and Trauma Work
Clinicians who want to use EMDR and trauma-informed care in a practice that gives them room to do it well.
Perinatal and Postpartum
Clinicians dedicated to reproductive and postpartum mental health across the whole transition into parenthood.
Neurodivergent Affirming Care
Therapists who provide deeply aligned, neurodivergent affirming support, lived experience welcome.
LGBTQIA+ Communities
Clinicians committed to affirming care for queer and trans clients, no exceptions and no debate.
Eating Disorders
Clinicians who specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating and want to do that work somewhere genuinely affirming.
OCD
Clinicians trained in OCD treatment, including ERP, who want to use it in a practice that takes the work seriously.
Men's Therapy
Clinicians who do meaningful work with men and want to help grow that part of what we offer.
BIPOC Affirming Care
Clinicians who provide culturally responsive, affirming care for BIPOC clients and communities. Lived experience welcome.
Family Therapy
Clinicians who specialize in family and relational work and want to build that part of the practice.
Something We Are Missing
Bring your niche. If you are building expertise that fits who we are, we want to help you grow it.

Who Thrives Here
You will probably fit in well here if:
- You believe therapy should be affirming and accessible
- You can work independently and collaboratively without needing constant oversight
- You care about your clients without setting yourself on fire to keep them warm
- You want colleagues you can actually talk to
- You want flexibility without isolation
- You want to build a sustainable career, not just fill a caseload
What You Actually Get
Not a values statement. The actual terms.
Clinical Freedom
You decide who you take on and you build your own schedule. Building your practice into exactly what you want it to be starts here. No productivity quotas, nobody auditing your calendar.
Referrals That Fit
We send you the clients who match what you are good at and what you care about, not whoever happened to call that morning.
Access
For one on one consults or training, you book time with Shylah directly. Same scheduling system, no gatekeeping, no waiting for a monthly meeting to ask a question.
Marketing You Did Not Have to Build
Branding, social media, and a website that already ranks. You are not figuring out Instagram on top of a full caseload.
For LMSWs
Supervision Is Part of the Model
We provide clinical supervision from a board-approved supervisor and support clinicians working toward independent licensure. Your growth is built into how we operate, not an afterthought you have to chase on your own time.
Learn About Supervision
The Open Role
We hire licensed social workers at both levels. Same role, same work, same pay. What changes is your license and whether supervision comes with it.
Pay Transparency
Starting pay is $50 per face-to-face clinical session hour.
You are a W-2 employee, not a 1099 contractor, with a tiered structure for growth based on longevity and performance. Full-time here means 25 billed clinical session hours a week, and at that level you qualify for medical and dental. Part time is welcome, it just does not include the insurance. That is the whole policy. There is no asterisk.

What You Will Do
Provide client-centered therapy to individuals and couples. Complete intakes, screenings, assessments, and treatment plans. Monitor progress and adapt treatment as needed. Coordinate with other providers internally and externally. Maintain confidential clinical records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Keep your credentials, supervisory hours if they apply to you, and continuing education current.
What You Bring
A master's degree in social work and an active Oklahoma license, LCSW or LMSW. Multi-state licensure is a welcome bonus.
A real commitment to affirming, person-centered care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Solid knowledge of evidence-based modalities and trauma-informed care. The ability to work independently and as part of a team without needing someone to hold your hand through every decision.
The Details
Full time or part time. Hybrid, with both virtual and in-person care. Oklahoma licensure required. Starting pay $50 per face-to-face clinical session hour, W-2.
If You Are an LMSW
Clinical supervision is provided by a board-approved supervisor and counts toward your independent licensure. You do not chase it, you do not schedule around somebody else's practice, and you do not pay for it out of pocket.
