If you’ve spent your life feeling different,
you’re not alone.

Maybe you’ve always felt like everyone else got a handbook you somehow missed.

Maybe you’re exhausted from masking.

Maybe you’re constantly overwhelmed by things that seem easy for everyone else.

Maybe you’re wondering whether ADHD, autism, or AuDHD explains why you’ve always felt out of step with the world around you.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, self-identifying, or still figuring things out, therapy can help you better understand how your brain works and build a life that works with it instead of against it.

Neurodivergent Therapy for Women, Teens & LGBTQIA+ Clients in Oklahoma

I primarily work with neurodivergent girls, women, teens, and LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, burnout, masking, anxiety, and the challenges that come with feeling different in a world that wasn’t built for the way your brain works.

Whether you’ve known you’re neurodivergent for years, recently received a diagnosis, or are still trying to figure things out, therapy can help you understand yourself with more compassion and less shame.

Hi, I'm Taylor.

I'm a therapist, a storm watcher, and someone who spent a long time figuring out that the brain I have isn't a problem to be fixed. It's just wired differently. I'm neurodivergent myself, and that lived experience shapes everything about how I show up for my clients. When you sit across from me, virtually speaking, you're not sitting across from someone who read about your experience in a textbook. You're sitting across from someone who gets it from the inside.

I became a therapist because I wanted to be the person I needed when I was younger. Someone calm. Someone who doesn't flinch. Someone who can hold space for the weird, the anxious, the ones who feel like they've never quite fit anywhere. If that sounds like you, you're in exactly the right place.

Taylor Hendricks, LMSW of Ala Therapy Collective. Providing affirming care for diverse clients, neurodivergent youth, and the LGBTQIA+ community in Oklahoma City.

Who I work with:

I specialize in therapy for girls, women, and LGBTQIA+ individuals of all ages, with a particular passion for neurodivergent clients. People with ADHD, autism, AuDHD, or anyone who has spent their whole life being told they're too much or not enough.

I also work with teens and tweens, and the people who love them. If you're a parent trying to support a kid who is struggling and you're not sure how to help, I want to work with you too.

My ideal clients are the ones who have been trying so hard for so long. The ones masking at school or work and falling apart at home. The ones who were called gifted and lazy in the same breath. The ones who are just now getting a diagnosis at 25 or 35 or 45, where suddenly everything makes sense and nothing makes sense at the same time.

ADHD intro preview

ADHD Therapy in Oklahoma

People with ADHD often come to therapy believing they’re lazy, unmotivated, irresponsible, or broken.

Most of the time, they’re none of those things.

They’re exhausted.

ADHD can affect executive functioning, emotional regulation, relationships, self-esteem, school performance, work performance, and nearly every part of daily life.

Together we can explore practical strategies while also addressing the shame and self-criticism that so many adults and teens with ADHD carry.

Autism intro preview

Autism Therapy in Oklahoma

People with autism often spend years trying to adapt themselves to a world that was not built with them in mind.

You may feel overwhelmed by sensory input, struggle with burnout, feel misunderstood in relationships, or spend enormous amounts of energy masking.

Therapy should not be about making you appear less autistic. It should help you understand yourself better, advocate for your needs, and build a life that feels sustainable.

AuDHD intro preview

Therapy for AuDHD Adults and Teens

Living with both ADHD and autism can feel confusing.

You may crave routine while simultaneously struggling to maintain it.

You may seek stimulation while becoming overwhelmed by it.

You may feel like you fit into ADHD spaces sometimes and autism spaces other times but never completely belong in either.

As someone who works extensively with neurodivergent clients, I understand the unique challenges that come with AuDHD.

Walk and Talk intro preview

Outdoor Walk-and-Talk Therapy in Tulsa

Some people do their best thinking while moving.

Others feel trapped by traditional office settings.

I offer walk-and-talk therapy in Tulsa for neurodivergent clients, clients with ADHD, LGBTQIA+ clients, and women who feel more comfortable processing life while outdoors.

We can meet in carefully selected outdoor locations where therapy happens side-by-side rather than face-to-face.

Parents intro preview

Support for Parents of Neurodivergent Children

Parenting a neurodivergent child can be rewarding, exhausting, confusing, and isolating.

You may be trying to navigate school accommodations, meltdowns, sensory needs, social challenges, or a new diagnosis.

Therapy can provide support for both you and your child while helping your family build strategies that actually work.

What working with me actually looks like:

I'm calm. Genuinely, naturally calm. Not performing calm. My clients tell me that walking into a session with me feels like taking a breath they didn't know they were holding.

I'm also lighthearted, because healing doesn't have to be relentlessly heavy. I'll make you laugh. And then I'll sit with you in the hard stuff. Sometimes both in the same session.

I use CBT as my primary approach because it gives clients real, concrete tools they can actually use outside of our sessions. I also draw on DBT, trauma-informed approaches, solution-focused therapy, and ACT depending on what you need.

I offer virtual sessions across Oklahoma. I also run Neurodivergent IRL, an outdoor walk and talk in the Tulsa area for clients who do better moving and talking than sitting still in a box on a screen. I'm available evenings Monday through Wednesday and throughout the day on Sundays, which works well for clients who can't do traditional daytime appointments.

A little more about me:

I wanted to be a therapist or a meteorologist when I grew up. I still watch storms and identify clouds for fun, which tells you something about the kind of person I am. I'm a sci-fi nerd, a gamer, and an anime fan. Having interests outside the therapy world makes me a better therapist. It gives me more ways to connect with the humans in front of me.

My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, and it respects your autonomy in every session. Growth is different for everyone, and it isn't linear. Whatever support you need and whatever you're navigating, I can help you learn to love yourself and embrace what makes you unique.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to start therapy?

No. Many clients begin therapy while exploring whether ADHD may explain their experiences.

Do I need an autism diagnosis to work with you?

No. A formal diagnosis is not required. Many people come in while they are still figuring out whether autism fits.

Can you test or diagnose me for ADHD or autism?

I'm a therapist, so I provide therapy, not formal psychological testing. I can help you explore whether ADHD or autism fits your experience, and point you toward a provider who does formal evaluations if that's what you're looking for.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit. I'm not strict about the clock, so it often runs a bit longer. You can book one through the contact form.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I accept Aetna, Ambetter, BlueCross and BlueShield, FEP BlueCross and BlueShield, and Cigna and Evernorth. Self-pay and sliding scale are available, and we'll run your benefits and tell you what we find.

How long are sessions?

Sessions run just under an hour.

Are sessions online or in person?

Sessions are online across Oklahoma. I also offer outdoor walk-and-talk therapy in the Tulsa area.

Do you work with LGBTQIA+ clients?

Walk-and-talk therapy combines traditional therapy with movement in outdoor settings.
