Trauma and Anxiety Therapy in Oklahoma

The thing that hurt you ended a long time ago. Your body never got the memo.

You keep treading water and never quite reach land. You say yes when everything in you is screaming no. You put everyone else first and call it being responsible, then lie awake replaying the one thing you think you got wrong. And the loudest voice in the room is the one in your own head, the one that decides nothing you do is ever quite enough.

That is the kind of long-running anxiety I work with, and the trauma sitting underneath it. Not the tidy version that fits on a worksheet. The real one, that keeps running in the background long after the thing that set it off is over.

You are not behind, and you are not too much. You learned to survive, and survival is loud. We can start turning the volume down together.

I work steadily, and I do not rush the hard parts. My job is not to hand you a deadline. It is to back your autonomy and help you get your self-expression, your individuality, and your confidence back, so you can build a life that actually fits you. We go at your pace, and we start wherever you actually are.

If any of that sounds like you, you have landed on the right page.

A note on availability

Dana is on sabbatical right now and not taking new clients. If her approach sounds like what you have been looking for, the contact form is the fastest way in. We will match you with a clinician who is open now, and if you would like to work with Dana down the road, tell us and we can talk through options in the meantime.

Steady presence. No unnecessary performance required. The call is easy to copy. The bird is not.

When You Are Ready

There is no wrong way to begin.

Real Questions, Real Answers

A few things people ask

What do you help with?
My main lanes are anxiety and depression and trauma and PTSD, the kind that keeps running long after the thing that caused it is over. I also work with suicidal ideation, life transitions, self-esteem, codependency, stress and coping, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and military and veteran families.
What kind of therapy do you use?
I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, compassion focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, strength-based therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. We figure out together what actually fits you instead of forcing one method.
Do I need a diagnosis to start?
No. You do not need a diagnosis or a label to begin. You just need something you want to work on, and we start from there.
Are sessions online?
Yes. Sessions are held online across Oklahoma, so you can meet from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. You can see the full list of plans on the insurance page, and we verify your benefits before your first session so you know what to expect.
Are you accepting new clients?
Not right now. Dana is on sabbatical. If you want to start with Ala Therapy Collective, the contact form is the fastest way to get matched with a clinician who is taking new clients.
