Across the State
Therapy for an expansive life. Even in a state this big.
Aetna's commercial network covers every part of Texas, and online therapy means you book the same way whether you're in a major metro or two hours from the nearest town. We're in-network statewide and your benefits run the same wherever you are.

What It Costs
Depends on your plan. We tell you before you start.
Aetna plans in Texas vary by employer, plan type, and metal tier. Some clients pay nothing per session; others have a copay or a deductible to clear first. We verify your specific plan and write you the actual numbers before you book.
- Outpatient therapy and telehealth coverage
- Deductible remaining
- Copay or coinsurance per session
- Referral requirements, if any
Why Ala
Texas has a lot of corporate therapy options. This isn't one of them.
Aetna's Texas in-network directory leans heavy on the big platforms — LifeStance, Talkspace, Brightside, Headway-style marketplaces. They work for some people. If you've already tried one and the rotating-clinician or matching-algorithm part didn't click, here's what we do instead.
One clinician, every session
You see Kenzie from session one onward. No platform reassignment, no transferring notes between clinicians, no starting your story over.
A person verifies your benefits
Jessie reads your insurance card and runs benefits directly. You get the actual numbers in writing, not a chatbot estimate that's off by a hundred dollars.
Picked for fit, not availability
Kenzie works specifically with religious trauma, EMDR, teens and young adults, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. If that's not your fit, we'll tell you upfront instead of putting you on the schedule.
The first session is mapped before you book
You know what each session costs, what to expect, and how things work, before you ever fill out a form.
Common Questions
What Texas Aetna members actually ask us.
Is Kenzie in-network with Aetna in Texas?
Yes. Kenzie is credentialed with Aetna in Texas under her LCSW license. Send your card, we run benefits, you start.
Do you serve all of Texas?
Yes. Online therapy means we work with clients anywhere in Texas, from Houston to El Paso to the Rio Grande Valley. Where you live in the state doesn't change your access or rate.
Does Aetna cover online therapy and EMDR in Texas?
Yes to both. Most Aetna plans cover telehealth at the same rate as in-person sessions. EMDR is billed under standard psychotherapy codes.
What if my Aetna plan turns out to be out-of-network?
Some Aetna plans are self-funded by employers and run on different network rules. If yours is, we tell you upfront when we verify. You may still be able to use out-of-network benefits with a superbill, or use our self-pay options.
Can I see Shylah for general therapy in Texas?
Not currently. Shylah Ridgway, LCSW, is credentialed with Aetna in Texas but accepts Texas clients only for immigration evaluations. For general therapy, Kenzie is your contact.
Do I have to live in Texas to see Kenzie?
You have to be physically located in Texas during your sessions. Texas licensing law follows the client's location, not yours on paper. So if you're a college student home for the summer, a military family on PCS, or just splitting time between states, send us the dates and we'll work out which state's license covers you when.
What if I cry in the first session?
You will. Or you won't. Or you'll laugh and then cry. None of it is wrong. We don't need you to come in composed. Kenzie does this work because the messy parts are the actual point.
Do you take Texas Medicaid or STAR?
No. We don't accept Texas Medicaid or STAR managed care plans, through Aetna or otherwise.
