Does Optum require prior authorization for therapy?
Most outpatient therapy doesn't need prior authorization. Some plans flag prior auth after a certain number of sessions or for higher levels of care. We catch any auth requirements during benefits verification.
Does Optum cover EMDR and telehealth?
Yes to both. EMDR is billed under standard outpatient psychotherapy codes, and telehealth is covered at the same rate as in-person under nearly every plan we run through Optum.
Do you take MassHealth?
